This is a beautiful heavy beveled glass automatic ink well. It's written on the brass fitting "The Davis automatic ink stand, patent March 19th c 1889 … New York. It has 2 pieces that go inside, and I guess you could press down and the ink would rise to fill the pen. Makes a very nice desk piece or paper weight.
It is 3" wide by 2 3/4" high. Comes with a bottle of vintage ink. See photos for condition.
